Monuments Casa D'Amore

Immagine di Casa D'Amore

It bears the name of its original owner Francesco D’Amore, who was elected as bachelor in 1803, and testifies one of the most important historical moments in Alberobello.

Its construction represents the passage from the rustic “trullo” to the typical XIX century house and is the symbol of the architectural evolution and the civil independence.

Indeed it was the first building constructed without mortar, the material used in its construction was the same as for trulli, but the style was different.
