Chiesa San Giacomo
This church is our little treat. It’s like taking a piece of the kingdom of Naples to Bari! One can admire the stuccoes typical of Vaccaro, the majolica floor distinctive of the Neapolitan school and the magnificent marble altars. The church has a single aisle and six devoting altars; paintings by the Neapolitan artist De Mura. The choir is enclosed with the grates that allowed the nuns to see and not be seen. The woods are worked on gold leaf on the whole structure of the church. Domenico Vaccaro's altar with a statue of St. James is very valuable with the steps that represent a form of art that rises towards God.
