It is a neo-gothic building, which was erected in 1906 on behalf of the lokal banker Emanuele Fizzarotti, who engaged for the construction works the architect Augusto Corradini and the engineer Ettore Bernich. It was intended to extol through the allegories of trade and industry the modern character of a city as a centre of commerce and moving towards progress.
