The Church of the Purgatory dates back the XVI century. Built on the roman period storage tank it is also known as the "Grotto of St. Cletus. " It houses a wooden polyptych depicting the Virgin and Child in the middle while on both sides are represented St.Cleto and St.Biagio. On the underside are depicted St. Sebastian and St. Lucy.The church also preserves a valuable cardboard statue depicting the ‘Pietà’ - sculpture of Mary holding and grieving over the dead body of Christ.
