Chiesa e Santuario Madonna del Sabato
The church of Our Lady of the Saturday is about one kilometer far from the town and was built in the mid-seventeenth century in a Basilian cave dug out of tufa, where were founded a painted wall. The painting dates back to the XV century and represents the Virgin and Child with a pair of angels. It is located at the bottom of a small cave, accessible by two staircases. Itis likely the work of shepherd in transhumance. The discovery took place on a Saturday, 15 days after Easter of an unknown year. Since then was given that name to the painting on the wall, and its feast is celebrated annually just fifteen days after Easter.
